American here. What is burgled? I’ve never heard of that. Sounds made up. What you call jelly I call jell-o. The sleeveless t shirt name has always bothered me. I think it’s predominantly an American Southern thing. Pants are the generalized word for any “trouser”. Trousers sounds very formal to me, like formal wear. What you call “pants” I call underwear or shorts. The trouble is when trying to distinguish between underwear and short sleeved trousers. One of the has always bothered me was oregano being pronounced something like origami. And torch is another. If someone were to ask me for a torch I would go out and get a stick and light it on fire for them. I do enjoy your channel. Keep it up.

My accent isn't strong, I'm not from New York City but I'm from the state of New York and my accent is a mix between Canadian, flat American accent, and then I'll have LOTS moments where I talk fast or loud like a New Yorker and even say the words "coffee", " dog", "walk", " talk", "new york" with NYC accent influence.

American waste more water then the UK per capita. UK/Europe have less water in bowl but still have 2 button for strong and light flushes (because we care about the environment). Also the u-bend and connected waste pipe are smaller in the US so they clog more often and this increases the use of a plunger. The main benefit to US toilets are a cleaner bowl therefore less use a of brush or toilet cleaner.

No such thing as a "free school"... here and overseas, "free" just means the taxpayers funded it. But yes, education from kindergarten (German anyone?) through the 12th grade (13 years of education) is generally free for the students. K to 6th is "Grade" or "Elementary" school; 7th to 9th was Junior High School but most just call it "Middle" school today; and 10th, 11th, and 12th were high school. And my locker (7th to 12th grade was almost always a bottom locker (a different one each year) and I was 6'2" (188 cm) tall. Most of my female friends were very petite (5'1 or so / 155 cm) got upper lockers. I also had a gym locker, and we had lockers for shop classes (auto, electronic, wood (different years)) and a locker for my musical instrument (4th to 8th grade). MAJOR pain remembering the different combinations!! You recorded this four years ago when we were net energy exporters, had 1.4% inflation, gasoline was $1.99 a gallon, unemployment was dropping vs 2021 with the "greatest ever president" and we have $5 a gallon gasoline, net energy importers, inflation shot up to 9% and they tell us it's 3% now, but nobody can afford to buy a car or house with the loan rates so high, food prices have literally doubled on the stuff I buy, etc...
